LONDON (AFP) – BP said Tuesday that it returned to profit in the second quarter of 2013, after the previous year's loss over lower oil prices and writedowns on assets.
Earnings after taxation stood at $2.042 billion (1.541 billion euros) in the three months to the end of June, compared with a loss of $1.519 billion in the same part of last year, the British energy giant said in a results statement.
